C&rsquo;est le <strong>14 juillet 1943<\/strong> que ce mode de transport \u00e9lectrique commence \u00e0 remplacer les anciens tramways. Ce choix fut facilit\u00e9 par la pr\u00e9sence des ateliers de <strong>VETRA<\/strong> (ou de sa filiale <strong>SATRAMO<\/strong>), constructeur sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9, qui s\u2019\u00e9tait install\u00e9 dans la ville pendant l&rsquo;Occupation.<\/p>\n    \n    <p>Le mod\u00e8le CB 60 est rapidement devenu le cheval de bataille du r\u00e9seau. Le \u00ab B \u00bb de son nom indique qu&rsquo;il utilisait des organes m\u00e9caniques du constructeur <strong>Berliet<\/strong>, le seul \u00e0 pouvoir fournir des pi\u00e8ces en Zone Libre \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque. La Compagnie des Tramways \u00c9lectriques de Limoges (CTEL) a m\u00eame particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;assemblage de ces v\u00e9hicules dans ses propres ateliers.<\/p>\n\n    <h2>Caract\u00e9ristiques et \u00c9volution Esth\u00e9tique<\/h2>\n    \n    <p>La flotte de VETRA CB 60 (constitu\u00e9e d&rsquo;environ <strong>33 unit\u00e9s<\/strong>) a connu une carri\u00e8re remarquablement longue et plusieurs transformations. Apr\u00e8s un r\u00e9am\u00e9nagement pour permettre le service \u00e0 agent unique (self-service), les CB 60 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 repeints dans une livr\u00e9e iconique : <strong>rouge (ou carmin) et blanc\/cr\u00e8me<\/strong>. C\u2019est sous ces couleurs vives qu\u2019ils ont marqu\u00e9 plusieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de Limougeauds, symbolisant un service public fiable et enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectrique.<\/p>\n\n    <h2>Un H\u00e9ritage Toujours Pr\u00e9sent<\/h2>\n    \n    <p>Alors que la marque VETRA a disparu en <strong>1964<\/strong>, ses trolleybus ont continu\u00e9 \u00e0 rouler \u00e0 Limoges jusqu&rsquo;en <strong>1988<\/strong>, une long\u00e9vit\u00e9 exceptionnelle qui t\u00e9moigne de leur robustesse. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, Limoges est l&rsquo;une des tr\u00e8s rares villes de France \u00e0 op\u00e9rer encore son r\u00e9seau enti\u00e8rement en trolleybus, h\u00e9ritage direct de ces pionniers \u00e9lectriques.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"highlight-box\">\n        <p><strong>Note de Conservation :<\/strong> Pour les passionn\u00e9s d\u2019histoire des transports, l&rsquo;h\u00e9ritage des CB 60 est conserv\u00e9. Un exemplaire portant le <strong>N\u00b010<\/strong> du r\u00e9seau de Limoges (construit en 1943) est pr\u00e9serv\u00e9 dans la collection du <strong>Mus\u00e9e des Transports Urbains
